How and when do I pay?

You book without a card. You pay on the day of the tour in EUR (or the equivalent in EGP or USD) to the guide, or by bank transfer in advance if you prefer. Flight options need the flight paid 72 hours before travel; we send a link.

What is the cancellation policy?

Free cancellation up to 24 hours before pickup, 48 hours for tours that include a flight. Balloon flights cancelled by Civil Aviation for wind are refunded in full.

The felucca is the wooden sailing boat that has worked the Nile for centuries. At sunset from the Zamalek moorings the city goes gold on both banks. The rest of the evening is the old city with its lights on.

Pickup at 16:30. The felucca leaves from the Corniche below Garden City or Zamalek; the boatman sails, you sit on cushions with tea and watch the sun go down behind the towers. One hour on the water.

From the river the car takes you to the Sultan Hassan Mosque (or Al-Azhar, depending on the evening) for the courtyard after sunset, then to Al-Muizz Street and Khan El Khalili at night with the guide, a tea at El Fishawy and time to browse.

Dinner at 20:30 at a restaurant in the old city: mezze, grills, koshari, sweets. Back at the hotel about 21:30.

Feluccas sail with very little wind; if there is none the boatman uses the current and a small motor. On strong-wind days the port authority may close sailing and we replace the felucca with a motorboat or refund that part.
